    Open the map to see the local spots taking part: the coffee shop, the taco place, the gym on the corner. Tap a pin for its tier, open hours and any Power Hour coming up.

  2. Walk in. Your phone confirms you’re there

    Turn on auto check-in once and GM adds up while you’re inside a participating spot during its open hours.

Auto check-in

Auto check-in and your location, explained

Auto check-in needs to know when you’re inside a participating spot, even when the app is closed. Here’s exactly what that means.

  1. Turn on auto check-in

    It’s a switch in the app, and it’s free for every member.

  2. Allow location “Always” (optional)

    Background location lets the app notice when you walk into a participating spot. Prefer “While Using”? Tap Start each visit instead.

  3. GM adds up inside participating spots

    Only inside a participating location, during its open hours. Switch auto check-in or location off any time; your GM stays.

Your location, your call

Background location is opt-in and used for one thing: confirming visits to participating businesses so GM can add up.

FAQs

Do I have to keep the app open while I earn?
No. Every member can turn on auto check-in, which earns quietly in the background while you’re inside a participating spot. You can also check in with a tap and watch your points climb.
Is my location tracked all the time?
Only if you turn on auto check-in, and then only to confirm visits. Auto check-in uses background location so the app can notice when you’re inside a participating spot, even when it’s closed. Prefer not to? Choose “While Using” and tap Check in each visit, or turn location off any time in your phone’s Settings. Auto check-in pauses; your GM stays.
How is a visit verified?
Your phone’s GPS confirms you’re inside a participating spot during its open hours. There’s nothing to scan and no receipt to keep. With auto check-in on, this happens in the background; otherwise it happens while you’re checked in. Quiet checks catch fake GPS and spoofed devices.
Does every reward count toward the 100 GM daily cap?
No. The 100 GM daily cap is for check-ins. Punch cards, campaigns and Power Hours are paid for by the business, so that GM comes on top of the cap.
How much can I realistically earn?
Think of it as a nice bonus on errands you’re already running: a small gift card now and then, not a paycheck. We’ll never promise unrealistic earnings.
Can I buy GM Points?
No. GM is only earned through verified visits and in-app activities. Nothing you buy turns into points or cards.
