What is GeoMine, exactly?
GeoMine is a rewards app that turns the visits you already make — your coffee shop, the taco spot, the corner store — into points you redeem for Prepaid Mastercard® gift cards. Walk in, earn while you’re there, redeem. That’s the whole idea.
Is this crypto?
No. Despite the name, there’s no token, no blockchain, and no wallet to set up. GM Points are simple promotional credit, and the only thing you turn them into is a gift card reward.
Is it free to use?
Yes. GeoMine is free to download and free to earn. Local businesses pay a monthly plan to be on the map, and that’s what funds the rewards.

We’re in an open pilot, growing city by city. Download the app to see participating spots near you — and help us decide where to expand next.
What do I need to get started?
Just the app and a verified email. Download it, allow location while you’re earning, and you’re ready to walk into your first participating spot. No card, no crypto, no setup.

How visits turn into GM Points.
How is a visit verified?
Your phone’s GPS confirms you’re inside a participating spot during its open hours. There’s nothing to scan and no receipt to keep. With auto-mining on, this happens in the background; otherwise it happens while you have a session running. Quiet checks catch fake GPS and spoofed devices.
Why does my earning rate change?
It depends on the spot’s tier (Bronze to Gold). Mining is capped at 100 GM a day, so it never runs away. Punch cards, campaigns and Power Hours are paid for by the business and come on top of that cap. See the rules on How it works.
Is there a limit to how much I can earn at one place?
Yes — there’s a sensible daily cap per spot. It rewards real routines instead of camping at one counter, which keeps things fair and keeps businesses happy to take part.
Do I have to keep the app open while I earn?
No. Every member can turn on auto-mining, which earns quietly in the background while you’re inside a participating spot. You can also start a session with a tap and watch your points climb.
How much can I realistically earn?
Think of it as a nice bonus on errands you’re already running: a small gift card now and then, not a paycheck. We’ll never promise unrealistic earnings.
Are bonus rewards the same as GM Points?
Yes. Punch cards, campaigns and Power Hours pay in GM, into the same wallet as your mining, at the same 1,000 GM = $1. The business pays for that GM, so it doesn’t count toward your 100 GM daily cap.
What does following a business do?
Following lets that business send you updates, and with the 🔔 bell on you get a heads-up when it runs a Deal of the Day or a Power Hour. The place also shows under Following with your visit streak there. Following itself doesn’t earn GM — visits do.
Does every reward count toward the 100 GM daily cap?
No. The 100 GM daily cap is for mining. Punch cards, campaigns and Power Hours are paid for by the business, so that GM comes on top of the cap.
What’s a Power Hour?
A set hour when a participating business offers bonus GM for visiting. Members who visit during the hour and stay about 10 minutes earn the bonus, while spots last. The business pays for it, so it doesn’t count toward your daily cap. See what’s coming up on Events.
Can I earn by referring a business?
Yes, with Refer a Business. Share your code with a local business owner. When their business signs up with it and pays for its first plan, you get 2,000 GM (Bronze), 5,000 GM (Silver) or 10,000 GM (Gold). Friend-to-friend invite bonuses have ended.
How do I delete my account?
Use the account deletion page or Settings in the app. Deleting is permanent: your profile, visit history and any unredeemed GM are removed.

What’s a GM Point worth?
Simple and fixed: 1,000 GM = $1, with a $5 minimum to redeem. No surge pricing and no fluctuating value — a point is always worth a point.
How do I redeem, and how fast does the card arrive?
Once you have 5,000 GM and a verified email, choose $5, $10, $25 or $50 in the app. Our rewards partner Tango emails your virtual Prepaid Mastercard to your verified account email within 3 business days (check spam for an email from Tango). Details on the Rewards page.
Where can I use it?
Online or in-store where Mastercard is accepted. Card terms and fees, if any, apply. More on the Gift cards page.
Are there limits on redeeming?
Yes: one redemption per 24 hours, up to $50 a day and $599 per rolling year per person. New accounts wait 7 days before their first redemption.

New accounts wait 7 days before their first redemption. It’s a quiet anti-abuse measure that keeps the rewards pool fair for everyone who plays it straight.
Who sends the gift cards?
Your card is a virtual Prepaid Mastercard, emailed by our rewards partner Tango. Apple is not a sponsor of, nor responsible for, the GeoMine rewards program.
What’s the status of cash-outs?
Cash-outs are open. Request a card in the app and Tango emails it to your verified account email within 3 business days. If we ever need to pause cash-outs, your GM stays safe at 1,000 GM = $1 and we’ll say so in the app. Details on the Rewards page.
Can I buy GM Points?
No. GM is only earned through verified visits and in-app activities. Nothing you buy turns into points or cards.
Privacy & safety
What we do — and don’t — with your data.
Is my location tracked all the time?
Only if you turn on auto-mining, and then only to confirm visits. Auto-mining uses background location so the app can notice when you’re inside a participating spot, even when it’s closed. Prefer not to? Choose “While Using” and tap Start each visit, or turn location off any time in your phone’s Settings. Auto-mining pauses; your GM stays.
Do you sell my data?
No. We don’t sell your location or personal data. Businesses see totals like visit counts, never a feed of where you go.
How do you stop people faking visits?
Earning only happens inside a location, during its open hours, with quiet checks for fake GPS and spoofed devices. Honest earners never have to compete with bots.
Is my account information secure?
Business payments run through Stripe, and gift cards are delivered by our rewards partner Tango. We share only the name, email and amount Tango needs to deliver your card. Read the full Privacy Policy.
What do businesses see about me?
Totals: visit counts, follower counts and anonymous poll results. They don’t see where else you go.

What am I paying for?
A flat monthly plan: Bronze $9.99, Silver $19.99 or Gold $34.99 (founding prices through Dec 31, 2026; lock in your founding price for as long as you stay subscribed). It puts you on the map for nearby members and unlocks your dashboard, push messages and loyalty tools, and it helps fund the rewards members earn. No per-click or per-visit billing. Do I need new hardware or a POS integration?
No. Customers use the app; you use the dashboard. Nothing to install at the counter. We review new listings by hand, usually within 24 hours.
How do you make sure visits are real?
A visit only counts when a member is inside your location, during your open hours, with anti-fraud checks and a daily cap per customer. Every visit in your dashboard is GPS-verified.
What can I do from my owner dashboard?
Everything self-serve: update your profile, hours, and photos, set punch-card rewards, send pushes to people nearby and daily updates to your followers, reward regulars with bonus GM, and watch GPS-verified visits and repeat customers roll in — all in real time, nothing to install at the counter.
What if it isn’t working for my business?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required at sign-up. Cancel any time; there are no contracts. Optional done-for-you setup is a one-time $49, never required.
What is founding pricing?
Today’s business prices (Bronze $9.99, Silver $19.99 or Gold $34.99 a month) are founding prices through Dec 31, 2026. Subscribe before then and you keep your founding price for as long as you stay subscribed, including if you switch tiers. From Jan 1, 2027, new subscriptions pay Bronze $12.99, Silver $27.99 or Gold $48.99 a month. If you cancel and come back after Dec 31, 2026, the 2027 price applies.
