You've been mining GM Points — now it's time to cash out. Here's how the GeoMine rewards system works.
The Exchange Rate
GeoMine has one simple, fixed exchange rate:
1,000 GM Points = $1 USD
That's it. No tiered tables, no surprise math, no shifting redemption rates.
What You Can Redeem For
Prepaid Mastercard® gift cards (virtual), emailed by our rewards partner (Tango), in four denominations:

Minimum redemption: 5,000 GM = $5. Tango emails your card within 3 business days (check spam for an email from Tango / Rewards Genius). Use it where Mastercard is accepted.
How to Redeem
- Open the GeoMine app → Wallet tab
- Tap "Redeem"
- Choose your card amount and confirm the name + email it goes to
- Confirm — Tango emails the card to you within 3 business days
Redemption Safeguards
Two safeguards protect the system:
- 7-day account age requirement: Brand-new accounts cannot redeem until they're at least 7 days old. This blocks throwaway-account fraud.
- $599 annual redemption cap: Each account can redeem up to $599 in gift card rewards per rolling 365 days. This aligns with standard 1099 reporting thresholds and keeps GeoMine on solid compliance footing.
Tips for Smart Redemption
- Watch for punch cards and Power Hours: they're paid by the business and come on top of your daily mining cap.
- Hit the $599 cap intentionally: If you're an active daily miner, plan your redemptions across the year so you make full use of the cap.
- Bigger denominations are simpler: A single $50 card is easier to spend than ten $5 cards. Save up where you can.
